In an effort to combat food insecurity, the Food Bank of Northern Indiana is organizing a series of mobile pantry events throughout the month of June. These events will provide pre-boxed and bagged meals to individuals and families in need at various locations across the region. The distribution will take place on a first-come, first-served basis, allowing recipients to pick up their supplies conveniently from their vehicles.

Mobile Pantry Schedule Offers Widespread Relief

Throughout the picturesque landscapes of Northern Indiana, a network of community support is taking shape this June. Residents facing food challenges can access essential supplies at several strategically chosen venues. On June 4th, Knox United Methodist Church in Knox will host the first event, followed by a session on June 5th at the former Helping Hands Food Pantry in Mentone. South Bend residents have two opportunities to benefit: on June 6th at the old Bargain Lane location and later that day at Kennedy Academy.

The outreach continues with stops in Michigan City on June 11th, Goshen on June 12th, and Elkhart later the same day. Additional distributions are planned for Bourbon and Culver on June 13th. In the following week, Elkhart's Mary Beck Elementary School and Woodland Elementary School will serve as collection points on June 16th and 18th respectively. Osolo Elementary School joins the list on June 20th, concluding with a return to the Food Bank of Northern Indiana headquarters in South Bend on June 28th.
