A former café director at Plymouth Public Schools is now under legal scrutiny after being accused of exploiting his role for personal gain. Prosecutors claim that the individual, identified as 62-year-old Patrick VanCott from Sandwich, orchestrated a scheme involving the misuse of school resources. Evidence suggests that he ordered high-end food items typically unavailable through standard school channels and subsequently sold them at a local eatery on Cape Cod.

In addition to allegations regarding premium food products, authorities state that VanCott also misappropriated various cafeteria and classroom supplies. These items were allegedly taken without authorization and used outside their intended educational purpose. The case has led to formal accusations of significant theft by means of a singular plan and theft occurring within a building. Legal proceedings are set to commence shortly in Plymouth District Court.
