Gravely Brewing Prepares for a New Chapter with Eliana’s Honduran Cafe
2025-06-20

Gravely Brewing is set to embark on an exciting new phase as it relocates its taproom from its current Baxter Avenue location to NuLu. This transition marks the end of an era for the brewery's iconic patio, which has long been a favorite spot for beer enthusiasts in Phoenix Hill. However, the move brings along a vibrant addition—Eliana’s Honduran Cafe, which will continue to serve its delicious offerings at the new venue. The existing location will shift focus towards brewing and distribution while plans for repurposing are underway.

Since opening in 2017, Gravely Brewing has become synonymous with unique experiences, partly due to its remarkable limestone caverns that once aged barrels of beer. These natural formations provide a stunning backdrop for patrons enjoying their beverages amidst bustling city life. Beyond the main patio, another hidden gem lies further up—a secluded area offering breathtaking views of Louisville’s skyline. As the brewery prepares for this transition, many express nostalgia for these cherished spaces.

Nathaniel Gravely acknowledges the sentimentality tied to the original site but emphasizes the anticipation surrounding the upcoming changes. “We understand how much attachment there is to our Baxter Avenue location,” he stated in a press release, “but we’re eager to introduce this incredible new space to the community that has supported us over the years.”

At the new address on East Main Street, visitors can expect familiar culinary delights courtesy of Eliana’s Honduran Cafe. Since debuting last September, the cafe has delighted customers with appetizers such as chorizo queso, yuca fries, tacos, burritos, and traditional Honduran dishes—all perfectly complementing Gravely Brewing’s diverse selection of craft beers. Among these brews are popular favorites like "Debaser," "Power Chord," "La Bamba," and "Doc’s Hefe."

In addition to Eliana’s presence, the relocation signifies continued collaboration between Gravely Brewing and various food vendors. Past partnerships have included Mayan Street Food, Lil Toasty’s, and even Gravely Grub, the brewery's own concept introduced earlier this year.

As Gravely Brewing ventures into this next chapter, it carries forward not only its rich history but also promises of innovation and community engagement. With the allure of Eliana’s Honduran cuisine paired alongside their ever-evolving lineup of beers, the new taproom aims to create lasting memories for both loyal patrons and newcomers alike.
